This article was created as a guide to show what the guests will see on each of the different settings using various types of materials typically presented in GP5 meetings.
General Tips
- If you are presenting something with fairly simple graphics, such as a spreadsheet or plain text, use the 'Medium Quality' setting in the Presentation Settings dialog.
- If the data has some graphics or is a mixed type presentation then use the 'High Quality' [default] setting.
- If the graphics are high quality and they must be seen with a lot of detail by the guests then you may need to use the 'Highest Quality' setting.
- The higher the quality setting, the slower the guest refresh speed will be. With this in mind, it is best to keep the quality set as low as possible without compromising your message. With the exception of highly detailed images, or images with gradients, even the Medium Quality setting will be more than sufficient for most presentations.
- Consider reducing the number of colors in the images that are used in your presentation. This has shown huge performance increases without adversely affecting the image quality in many cases. For more information on reducing the number of colors in graphics, please see this article.
- See this article for instructions on setting the quality level when presenting in a session.
